My name’s Karim. I am British, but with a multicultural background. Educated in the UK, I have worked in different European countries since the 90s and finally settled in Italy.
I speak fluent English, Italian, French and German, and I’m learning Greek (for fun).
Based in Imola, I collaborate with a number of brands that are more or less famous in Italy and around the world. The key names in alphabetical order: Cefla, Dana Brevini, Ducati, FAAC, IEG, IMA, Racing Bulls F1, Technogym. This means my experience spans many sectors, from EPC Contracting to high-tech radiology, fitness equipment to packaging machinery, motorcycles, international exhibitions, industrial equipment and automation systems, medical devices and the pharmaceutical industry.
Writing is my skill, and I also write documentaries which I then present on-screen. In fact, this website is primarily geared to showcase this part of my activity.
I elaborate concepts and create multilingual content for advertising, emotional videos, product naming and launches, usually working alongside a graphic designer.
I create multilingual content for websites, videos and press releases, often after interviewing engineers or experts in specific technologies.
I construct storyboards and write multilingual copy for short documentary films, sometimes acting as presenter, supported by selected filmmakers.
Translations of all kinds, carried out by myself or by an international network of professional translators, including transcription and subtitling services.
